5PM - 9PM    NEW THIS YEAR ~  Plans at this time are to have an informal get together on Friday nite.  Chef
Colby along with a gues chef (could be Chef Kluver, Chefs Emeril or Giada) will be preparing brats, hot dogs,
beans, potato salad, soft drinks and the like ...
(still in the planning stages).  There will be a small fee to cover
costs for this event.  If you have any ideas or are interested in helping out, contact Steve Colby

We also plan to have a gaming table Friday nite where people can place bets (cash) on who they think will win the

  IN CASE OF TIES
1)  Tournament winner (low net) and runner-up ties:  Decided by sudden death plyoff starting on 1st hole with handicap strokes on appropirate
holes.  Played off low handicap.
2)  Low gross ties:  Decided by sudden death playoff starting on 1st hole.

   
TOURNAMENT HANDICAPS
3)  Based on 80% of players average strokes over par per year in (67-68 OPEN).  Handicap maximum is 30.  Starting in '09 we will use player's
last three scores - including MGA or USGA handicap (if it is one of last three).
4)  Player without tournament handicap will use MGA or USGA handicap if they have one.  Those who don't will (a) use handicap established from
this years tournament or (b) play tournament course within two months prior to 67-68 OPEN  for score and handicap.  Handicaps from other
courses may be adjusted according to indes and slope.

T O U R N A M E N T   R U L E S

TOURNAMENT RULES:

1)  USGA Rules govern all play except where modified by local or tournament rules.
2)  Tournament to be played from the
white tees (6096 yards). Ladies may play from the red tees iF handicap established there.
3)  
Two mulligans allowed (one per side) with the following guidelines:  (A) For drivers only  (B) Not on any par 3  (C) Not for long drive contest
[but OK for score on that hole]  (D) If you hit a mulligan, you must play it and not the first shot.
4)  
NO gimme putts allowed.  AKA The Bill Flaig Rule
5)  
Winter rules apply:  FAIRWAY ONLY.
6)  
Play all hazards (red & white stakes, lost ball) as lateral hazard.  Drop ball where shot entered hazard, or ball lost.  One shot penalty.
7)  
Maximum 9 strokes her hole.  Must have 8 to Pic-Up.   THERE ARE NO MYSTERY RULES


EVENTS & PAYOFFS  ($ 15)      ...   optional:  must enter all or none   -  Payments are entrantVne  .. Payments per

A)  The four par 3's closest to the pin (on green)  pays $1   ( Holes # 4, 9, 14 and 17).  Nothing on #12.
B)  
Longest drive in fairway on #5 pays $1
C)  
Longest one putt on #18 pays $1       May have large cup.
D)  Putting Tournament champion pays $1
E)  Tournament winner (low net) receives REALY NICE TROPHY (from Dicer and Dicker of Beverly Hills).
F)  Tournament runner-up receives NICE TROPHY.
G)  Low gross score (MEDALIST) receives the Al Grundei Traveling Trophy
H)  Hole-in-one insurance $1 per entrant (if no winner the pot builds for the future)  
     As of 7-25-09   $81 ... plus this years entry in pot
      
Hole-in-one receives "money in the pot" or max $100 -  Eagle receives 25% or $25 max.
NOTE:  
We will not pay more tha $100 for multiple aces, and no more than $50 for multiple eagles.  If the pot is not larte enough to cover all
aces and eagles - Aces receive 1 share / Eagles receive 1/4 share.
I)  $6 per entrant goes toward purchase of trophies and prizes.   Any excess will go to additional prizes or added to the hole-in-one pot.
J)  
If no one wins a closest to pin event the long drive event, or the long putt event, the money will  go to a drawing(s) at awards ceremony.

Winners of tournaments and events are not eligilble for any prizes.

PRIZES - $1 of entry fee goes to purchase a gift certificat from EDDY's INTERLACHEN INN.(formerly Andy's Interlachen Inn)  
INTERLACHEN INN has agreed to match this as they are now the official home of the 67-68 OPEN.  The amount will be $1 per golfer.  Thanks
