| Cassidy, Jeff Dec 1980 > heart attack Funeral services for Jeffrey Wayne Cassidy, age 32 of 3104 West Mangold, Greenfield, Wisconsin were held at 1:00 P.M. at Shadown Mountain Mortuary, 2350 East Greenway, Phoenix, Arizona, December 23, 1980. Interment was in The Arizona Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Cave Creek, Arizona. He passed away suddenly on December 20, 1980, at St. Luke's Hospital in Milwaukee, Wisconsin of a heart attack. Jeff was born in Lake Benton, Minnesota, on December 17, 1948. He was baptized and confirmed in the Methodist faith. He attended elementary and junior high school in Lake Benton until moving to Alexandria Minnesota, with his parents in 1963. He graduated from high school in 1967, thereafter enlisting in the United States Air Force and entering active service in February of 1968. He served four years, including one year in Thailand. Upon returning to the United States, he married Loanne Lindfors of Minneapolis, Minnesota. They were stationed at Fairchild Air Force Base in Spokane, Washington. He was honorably discharged in February of 1972, and they returned to Minneapolis, Minnesota. On September 19, 1974 a son, Jason Jeffrey, was born to Jeff and Loanne. In 1976, Jeff moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where he was employed with Pickwick Music Company. He is survived by his parents, Kenneth and Gertrude Cassiday, of Prescott Valley, Arizona; his sister, Renee of St. Paul, Minnesota, and his son, Jason of Dowagiac, Michigan. He was a Sophomore in the Alexandria High School. He died Saturday, May 22, 1965 at Douglas County Hospital, at Alexandria, at the age of 15 years and 7 months. Surviving are his mother, Verona Chan; one brother, Dean; and one sister, Michelle; his maternal grandmother, Mrs. Victor Peterson; paternal grandparents, Mr and Mrs Louis Chan. He was preceded in death by his father in 1961, one brother Miles in 1952. Rosary services were held Tuesday, May 25, 1965 at 8 PM from Anderson Funeral Home, Alexandria. Funeral services were held Wednesday, May 26, 1965 at 9:30 AM from St Nepomuk's Church in Reno township with Rev Robert Landsberger officiating. Interment was in Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis, Minn. Pallbearers were Donovan Trousil, Leon Zavadil, Frank Koudela, Archie Trousil, Duane Tvrdik and Ralph Tvrdik. Chermak, Alton B Chilian, John H Christenson, Janet [ Rahm ] Christopherson, L (female) last seen in the 7th grade Cihlar, Jerome C leukemia Jerome (Jerry) Charles Cihlar was born July 1, 1949 in Alexandria, MN. Son of Henry and Dorothy (Roers) Cihlar. He was raised in Alexandria and graduated from Jefferson High School in 1967. Jerry joined the US Coast Guard in October 1967 and served in Alaska and St. Petersburg, Florida. After leaving the US Coast Guard in 1971. He remained in Florida and worked for the Coast Guard as civilian employee for 20 years. Jerry was married to Sheila Cutting in 1971 and they were blessed with two girls, Christine and Pamela , and 2 grandchildren, Nate and Lily. Jerry died December 7, 2018 after a 5-year battle with Leukemia. He was preceded in death by this father, Henry; brother, Rodney and nephew, Scott Retzlaff. He is survived by his mother, Dorothy Cihlar of Alexandria; his two daughters, Christine and Pamela, siblings Larry (Kathy) of Carlos; Mary Lou of Alexandra; Irene Keife (Bob) of Houma, Louisiana; Rosalie Kessler (Joe) of Bergland, Michigan; Annette Retzlaff (Greg) of Miltona, Veronica Baas (Roger) of Long Prairie and many nieces and nephews. He attended school in Alexandria and after school was employed as a mechanic until his death on 8-22-1988 in Minneapolis. [motorcycle accident - ?] He is survived by Parents, Bruce W Sr and Lillian Crosby of Alexandria.
