I received a lot of thank yous this past weekend .... which is great to hear.- don't get me wrong.
But what gives me greatest joy is to see y'all show up and have a gooood time ... this is where it
gets underscored for me, that it IS all worth it. And it did appear that everyone was having a
good time
re-connecting and story telling and just hanging out. (50 friday night 50 saturday morning 95 [75/20] saturday
night - not official)
For those that weren't there Saturday night, I want to again thank Florence Nelson for stepping
up and being a MAJOR support - I couldn't have done it without her.
And Steve Colby, who did an outstanding job of rounding up golfers for Saturday's scramble. Now
those folks had a good time. The only complaint was that they just played 9 holes.
Gerry Hesse was instrumental in setting up the Saturday morning coffee at Geneva Grill. It was
a perfect location - and the coffee & treats were a welcome after a late Friday night!
To those who are a constant source of support, and you know who you are, thank you.
Saturday night's unexpected gift of "mad money" .... was just that,
unexpected. I am taking the request to be frivolous with this gift,
quite seriously, .... and will take great joy in keeping myself in designer
coffee while I start down the job search path.
Simply and sincerely .... thank you.
P.S. And yes, I do think it was done to suck me into doing this again in
2012 .... and well, it worked. lol
