Gregory Mark Thompson, age 67 af Alexandria, died on Saturday, August 29, 2015 at the Essentia Health in Virginia, MN. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 8, 2015 at 2 PM at the Living Word Lutheran Church in Alexandria. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday.

Vincent William Turner was born on July 19, 1948 in Napa, California to parents Vincent P. and Mary Anne (Reardon) Turner. On February 4th 1969 Vincent enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and he proudly served his country for two years until he was honorably discharged in 1971. After his military service, Vince went on to college to earn his Master's Degree. Vince was united in marriage to Beverly Peacock on June 27, 1980 in Osakis, MN and to this union they were blessed with two children. Vince had owned and operated the Ivanhoe Times Newspaper for fifteen years and worked for the National Association of Broadcasters. He also worked at other various place in his life including Lincoln/Pipestone Rural Water and for Lincoln County. Vince enjoyed bowling, golfing, hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed reading, cooking and playing cards ande softball. Vince was an avid watcher of movies and the Minnesota Twins. He always wanted to learn something new and he enjoyed telling stories, jokes and talking politics. Vince was a member of St. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Ivanhoe and a member of the Shaokatan and Arco Sportsmen's Clubs and the Ivanhoe VFW Post 2980. He passed away on Tuesday, January 10, 2012 at the Sioux Falls VA Health System in Sioux Falls, SD at the age of 63 years, 5 months, and 22 days. Grateful for having shared Vincent's life is his wife of forty-one years, Beverly Turner of Ivanhoe; his two children, Melissa (Matt) Turner of Sioux Falls, SD and Richard (Jacki) Turner of Brookings, SD; three sisters, Anne Marie Turner of CA, Barbara (Steve) Sampson of Minnetonka, MN and Jane Truner of St Paul, MN; one half brother, Michael Simpson of NC and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. He is preceded in death by his mother and stepfather; one half brother, Peter Simpson and one uncle, Judge William Reardon. Blessed be his memory.
