Vietnam

The class of 1967 had many men who enlisted or were drafted into military service.  Several of these are Vietnam veterans.  In June 2024 the Alexandria community had a much delayed "Welcome Home" celebration.   Classmate Albert Bast Jr was killed in action on December 12, 1969 while serving as a medic.

Vietnam veterans who participated in the celebration were: Mike Hansen, Jim Hartman, Jack Hvezda, Mike Kvitek, Dave Olson, Ken Olson, Dennis Pletcher, Marlo Steinhorst, Jeff Timm, Daryl Tvrdik, Bob Wilken.

Jeff Timm and Pat Ellingson were primary organizers of the event.
