Marcia Marie Ford, 64, of Westminster, died Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at home. Born July 28, 1949 in Alexandria, MN., she was the daughter of the late Kathryn Arnold and Clarence Floding. She was the wife of THomas Ford.
Before retiring, she worked for the Social Security Administation. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church and was active in the PFlag in Howard County. Surviving in addition to her husband are children Linsey Goch and husband David of Bethesda, Ryan Ford of Los Angeles, Ca., a brother Eric Floding of Detroit Lakes, MN, sisters Mary Kay Nelson of Alexandria, MN., Karen Dufty of Park Rapids, mn., and Patty Vogt of Alexandria, MN> Also surviving are grand children, Elliot and Peter Goch. A memoiral service was held at the Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, P.A. 254 East Main St., Westminster Maryland with Rev. Martha Clementson. Interment will be private.

Fluegel, Ed W Died 04.23.18
Ed Fluegel was born in Alexandria on May 25, 1949. He attended Lincoln and St. Mary’s grade schools, and Central Jr. High. He graduated from Jefferson High School in 1967 and attended Moorhead State University where he received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in 1971.
After graduating from college Ed completed post-graduate work in Ohio and then returned to Minnesota and entered the world of restaurant and food service. He worked at the Holiday Inn, Arrowwood, and Old Broadway. He managed the American Legion supper club, and spent many years as the head of food service for the Alexandria Golf Club. Ed was an amateur athletic sports fan. He had a passion for Gopher athletics and was a well-known contributor to the ‘Gopher Hole’ blog entering 15,000 posts. He was highly regarded in the world of Minnesota Gopher sports. Ed was also an avid NCAA tournament bracket participant. Preceded in death by his parents and his sister Mary, Ed is survived by his sister Barbara and his many friends. Ed will be laid to rest on June 28, 2018 at St. Mary’s Cemetery at 10:00 am. There will be a celebration of life at the Alexandria Golf Club on Friday June 29, 2018 from 3 to 5.

Children: daughters, Thea & Nicole son, Matthew > they have blessed me with 8 grandkids I am semi-retired. In my lifetime I repaired shoes and boots. Made tents, boots, leather items; did building mainenance, restaurant cook and manager.
Goals: * re-visit the places I have lived * finish the projects started * become more spiritual & renew old friendships.
Comment: This website for the class of '67 has brought back great memories. I left Alex in the summer of '65 and finished school in New Ulm MN. I have often wondered where my classmates went. It was a great 3 years with all of you. I was saddened to read that so many
friends had passed, rest in piece. I would enjoy hearing from any and all that remember me./
